Once again, English singer and songwriter Jessie J was willing to be open and vulnerable about her infertility struggles and said she’s holding on to hope despite a negative health diagnosis.

In a new interview on the “Heart Breakfast” radio show, the 31-year-old girlfriend of actor Channing Tatum revealed she has since taken steps to get healthy in her bid to conceive a child one day.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the London native discussed her chances of becoming a mother after being told she can’t conceive naturally.

Jessie recalled the heartbreaking news during a confession on the show. She said:

“So four and a half, five years ago I was diagnosed with this disease that, you know is making it harder. I was told I couldn’t have children, I don’t believe it. I believe in miracles. I haven’t given up.”

In 2014, the singer refused a hysterectomy despite medical advice. Now, she is sharing how she has taken action to try and fulfill her dream.

She said:

“For the last four years I’ve changed my diet, I’ve changed the way I live, I’ve done a lot of self-work and just to be open about it and start a conversation that could help someone that doesn’t know how to talk about it, and start this conversation.”

The singer told fans she isn’t giving up but is channeling her pain into her music. Jessie explained:

“Yeah I mean I think it’s one of those – vulnerability is seen so much as weakness now and not real. I’ve always been someone that is open and honest. And from a very very young age I’ve always stood in the middle of my pain and my battles with everything.”

The British songstress also admitted that she and Tatum have not discussed having children together. She said:

“No! Just because he’s Channing Tatum, everyone has sped this up into, ‘Are you getting married?’ I have been in relationships with people longer than Chan, but they’re not famous so no one really cares.”

The couple has been dating since October. Tatum has expressed his support on Instagram as Jessie faces her fertility struggles.
