Six months after singer and designer Jessica Simpson welcomed her third child into the world, she updated her fans on social media about her postpartum weight loss progress.
As Dearly previously reported, Simpson suffered through multiple ailments during her pregnancy with Birdie.
She experienced a bad case of acid reflux, three battles with bronchitis, she dealt with sciatica pain, swollen ankles and feet, and she even broke a toilet seat when she reached eight months gestation, or what she liked to call “jess-station.”
Now, after welcoming baby Birdie Mae Johnson on March 19, Simpson is revealing that in just six months time she’s lost over 100 pounds since giving birth.
The mom of three wrote:
6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240). My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder.
Thousands of people praised Simpson, many in awe over the progress she’s made in such a short about of time:

Simpson and her husband, former professional football player Eric Johnson, are also the proud parents of 6-year-old Maxi Drew and 5-year-old Ace Knute.
Since Birdie’s birth, Simpson has been sharing bits and pieces of her postpartum journey with her Instagram followers. From her breast milk supply, to the swelling of her ankles going down, to getting back in shape, Simpson hasn’t been afraid to share any of it.
And her fans have thanked her for her openness and honesty.
