Jessa Duggar Seewald Thinks She’s Going to Deliver a Big Baby. Asks Fans for Natural Heartburn Remedies

“Counting On” star Jessa Duggar Seewald returned to Instagram on Friday to show off her growing baby bump at 31 weeks pregnant.

The expecting mom also shared her excitement with fans in the weeks leading up to her due date. The reality star said she’s much smaller this time around with baby number three than with her first child. But she’s larger than the second. She explained:

Definitely a bit bigger than I was at this point in my pregnancy with Henry (who was born 8lbs 11oz), but smaller than I was with Spurgeon (who was born 9lbs 11oz). What can I say— those Duggar genes grow ‘em big.

31 weeks. Pardon the toothpaste splatters on the mirror. 😆 . Definitely a bit bigger than I was at this point in my pregnancy with Henry (who was born 8lbs 11oz), but smaller than I was with Spurgeon (who was born 9lbs 11oz). What can I say— those Duggar genes grow ‘em big. 😂 Besides the twins, my mom had all 8-9lb babies for the first half, and then 7-8lb babies for the second half. Most of the grand babies have been in the 8-9lb range so far, and one was a little over 10lb! 😳 Maybe we’ll end up somewhere in the middle this time. 😆🙈 . On another note, I’ve heard the old wives tale that heartburn in pregnancy means baby will be born with lots of hair. If there’s any truth in that, then this one ought to have a head full. 😂 I mean it could just be coincidence, but I had heartburn with Spurgeon too, and he was born with a decent amount of hair. 😄 Haha! Probably just has to do with specific foods in my diet more than anything. Anyone want to weigh in based on personal experience? 🤔 Also, any natural heartburn remedies that are recommended in pregnancy? ☺️

The TLC personality then went on to say she’s been experiencing some pregnancy side effects lately and asked followers for advice. Duggar Seewald asked if anybody had any home remedies to deal with heartburn to provide some relief during her third trimester.

People flooded the comment section to help the 26-year-old soon-to-be mother of three with her heartburn problems. One person wrote:

Baking soda in some water seriously helped! You only need a few sips! Sounds gross but the relief is amazing!

Another follower said:
Papaya enzymes are really good for heartburn and are natural. I would check with a dr just to be sure before taking them but they help a lot!

Others suggested drinking pickle juice, milk, or ginger tea to help ease the discomfort of heartburn.

Duggar Seewald, who announced with husband Ben Seewald in January that they’re expecting their third child, told Us Weekly that she’s “overjoyed” to be delivering her third child this spring.
