“Jersey Shore” star Jenni “JWoww” Farley and her estranged husband, Roger Mathews, are working on developing a good, healthy co-parenting relationship, but it seems as if fans had a lot to say about Farley’s parenting skills.
Mathews took to Instagram on Memorial Day to shut down fans accusing the mom of not spending enough time with her children.
As reported by Dearly, the couple split in September after a volatile breakup, and though it’s been a difficult process, Mathews said they’re making their co-parenting relationship work for the sake of their two children, Meilani Alexandra, 4, and Greyson Valor, 3.

Happy Memorial Day everyone. There seems to be an overflow of negative comments both toward me and toward Jenni on many of my posts still. I’m a big boy and a proud supporter of free speech, I can take it. Jenni also has tough skin and can take it however the comments as to who the better parent is, or who spends more time our children are unnecessary. I accept my responsibility in the divide I caused In the eyes of the public but I’ll always post about my children and if we can move past the negativity certainly it wouldn’t be to much to ask for everyone else too. We both love our children emphatically and always will. It takes far more effort and energy to be negative than it does to be positive. Enjoy this beautiful day.
In a lengthy post, Mathews defended Farley amid nasty comments that slammed the mother of two for partying with her new boyfriend instead of being with her children.

It seems like you spend more time with the kids than their own mother. All I see is kids kids kids on your posts. The mother is out partying with her new boyfriend and drinking and [barely] see posts with the kids. Sad.
Mathews concluded his post by saying the couple loves their children, and the father accepts the role he’s played in the public “divide.”
However, Farley told People the two parents are amicable and doing their best to keep their conflicts off social media.
“I’ve always wanted to be amicable. I’ve always wanted to put my kids first and that’s what we’re really trying to do right now.
There’s always going to be drama because you have two people that are very hard headed, and we have two kids together. At the end of the day, we love our children and we want what’s best for them, so I think we’re over the hump and I’d like to say it’s smooth sailing from now on.”
The two have since been seen celebrating holidays with their kids together as a family.
