As Dearly reported earlier, on April 22, “Today” host Jenna Bush Hager announced that she and her husband, Henry Hager, are expecting their third child together.
The couple has been married for 10 years and they are already parents to two girls, Mila, who is 6 years old, and Poppy, who is 3.
During the first hour of the “Today” show, Jenna told her colleagues that she is pregnant and that she’s not sure “how I hid this” for so long because “y’all, I’m very pregnant.”
Then, later in the show, during the fourth hour — which she normally hosts with Hoda Kotb, but she is on maternity leave as well after adopting a second daughter — Jenna revealed even more details surrounding her pregnancy.
The 37-year-old told the audience that she’s five-and-half-months pregnant and that they are expecting their first boy.
As Dearly previously reported, this is the first boy grandchild on both sides of their families.
The “shocked and grateful” mom then shared a video she took of the moment she told her girls the big news on Easter Sunday:

The video shows Jenna and Henry giving the girls a metallic Easter egg which had a message inside of it telling Mila and Poppy that they were getting a baby brother.
Jenna first asks her girls:
“What do you guys want the very most, in the whole world?”
Mila first answers “toy,” before Jenna says:
“No, not a toy. What else have you been praying for?”
That’s when Mila quietly says:
“Baby?”
After opening the egg, Mila quickly asks, “Where is the baby?”
Both she and Poppy are then overjoyed after learning their baby brother is inside their mom’s stomach.
Jenna also talked about infertility with co-host Dylan Dreyer. Jenna said earlier in the show that she experienced some fertility issues while trying to get pregnant with Poppy, which is why they were so shocked to learn they were pregnant following a “date night.”
Dreyer, who is trying to have a second child with her husband, is currently experiencing fertility issues herself.

Dreyer admitted that they are set to begin IVF soon, but wanted to talk about her journey to break the stigma around using fertility treatment to have a second child, when you “already have one.”
