Update: 4/22/19 at 10:00 a.m.:
During the fourth hour of the show, Jenna announced that she and her husband are expecting their first boy and that she’s five-and-a-half months pregnant.
She explained this child will be the “first boy grandchild on both sides of their families.”
There is a reason “Today” host, Jenna Bush Hager, was so excited for colleague Hoda Kotb when she announced she was a mom of two on the show last Monday, April 15.
Not only was Jenna happy for Kotb because she had prayed for a sister for oldest daughter Haley, but because she was keeping a little secret herself.
She said during the first hour of Monday’s show:
“Yes, I’m pregnant!”
Jenna and her husband, Henry Hager, also kept the news from their two daughters, Mila and Poppy, until sharing it with them on Easter.
The 37-year-old told the cameras that the only reason why she was sharing the big news was because she told her two daughters, who already began telling fellow churchgoers and other strangers they met along the way.
“Y’all, I’m very pregnant. So I don’t know how I hid this! I’ve needed 7 or 8 sports bras.”
It’s unclear how many months “very pregnant” is, but according to the soon-to-be mom of three, her husband, Henry Hager, his a bit “terrified” to become a father of three.

“It is a shock, it’s a lot. We’re grateful. … Henry needs the congratulations because he’s a little terrified!”
Jenna admitted that she had previously shared the news with Kotb because she was worried about how her pregnancy would affect her new job:
“I told Hoda and I was really worried about it because we’re starting this new show. And I told Hoda and she kind of had a glimmer in her eye. And low and behold …”
The glowing mom teased that she might be sharing her due date and the gender of her unborn child during the 10:00 a.m. portion of the show.
Dearly will update this story as new information becomes available.
Congratulations to Jenna and Henry’s growing family.
