Jenna Bush Hager and her husband, Henry Hager, are now the proud parents of a little boy.
As Dearly previously reported, the Today Show co-host revealed that she was expecting her third child during a broadcast in April. She also announced that she and Henry were expecting their first baby boy.
Hager explained that their little boy will be the “first boy grandchild on both sides of their families.” They are also the proud parents of two little girls, Mila and Poppy.
Now, as Hager revealed on her Instagram, just a few hours after starting her maternity leave, the couple has finally met their newest bundle of joy.
Welcome to the world my darling Henry Harold “Hal” Hager! Hal came into the world Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9:02am and our life has never been sweeter.
The now-mom of three also admitted that it was an even sweeter moment watching Mila and Poppy meet their little brother for the first time.
And our world made even sweeter when our girls met their baby brother.
In an exclusive statement to Today, the mom said it was “so beautiful” seeing their daughters meet Hal for the time. Now the girls can’t stop gushing over how much they love him and how excited they are to finally get their little brother home.
And her husband “is as equally enamored” with his first son as they all are.
Hager, who had a c-section, said they named their little boy after Henry and her grandfather. Hal was 7-pounds, 5-ounces and 19.2 inches long at birth:
“We weren’t exactly sure about the name but then his big sisters arrived and they called him “Hal Pal” and I thought, this is just perfect.”
She later joked that her father, former president George W. Bush, was a little mad that his first grandson’s name wasn’t George.

Hager went on to say that she “feels good” after giving birth to her first son and that despite the news going on in the world, seeing the light in her infant son’s eyes really put life in perspective for her.
She added that she, as are all parents, was put on this earth to keep her children safe.
