Reality television star, Jazz Jennings, is “so stoked” for the next chapter of her life, college.
Nearly one year ago, as Dearly previously reported, Jennings underwent a gender reassignment surgery.
And although the journey didn’t go as smoothly as she had hoped, Jennings seems to be doing well. Especially now that she has accepted an offer to one of the most prestigious IVY league schools in the country.
Jennings took to Instagram to share her big news:

I am so stoked for this next chapter of my life! Feeling so blessed and grateful right now. Thank you so much to my incredible family for your unconditional love and support; none of this would be possible without all of you. I can’t wait for what’s to come!
The 18-year-old elaborated in a statement that was shared with TLC.
Jennings admitted to being “so shocked” when her acceptance letter came in the mail:
“When I found out I was accepted to Harvard, I was so shocked. Not because I didn’t think I could do it, but because it’s such a selective school with such a small acceptance rate, that I was like ‘Who gets into Harvard?’ But I got in!”
The “I Am Jazz” star says she’s going to figure out this new chapter of her life as she goes along, adding that she’s considering majoring in philosophy, gender, and religion.
“I feel so grateful to have this opportunity to attend an institution that’s so incredible and well-renowned. I just feel like I’m going to be me, do me and have a great time.”
And while “expanding her mind and soaring to new heights,” Jennings is also looking forward to “meeting new people, making connections, building friendships that will last a lifetime and I’m really looking forward to that experience.”
She believes Harvard is the institution that will allow her to get to where she wants to be in life.
Hundreds have offered their congratulations, including Katie Couric:

Her older brother, Sanders:
I am the most proud brother on the planet. You continue to amaze me
And her mom:

As of now, Jennings plans on continuing to film for her show. The newest season is slated to premiere in 2020.
