Wisconsin police are still looking for the 13-year-old girl who vanished after her parents were found dead in their home on Monday morning.
According to First Coast News, authorities believe the teen, Jayme Closs, is in “serious danger.”
Closs is described as being five feet tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has green eyes and blonde or strawberry blonde hair.
Barron County, Wisconsin deputies responded to a 911 call on October 15 around 1:00 a.m. According to WEAU, the Barron County Sheriff said:
“We could hear yelling in the background on this 911 call, not much information.”
Upon arriving at Closs’ home, deputies found the teenager’s parents, 56-year-old James Closs and 46-year-old Denise Closs, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Both Closs’ mother and father were pronounced dead at the scene. However, who called 911 is still unknown.
By the time authorities arrived at the home, Closs was nowhere to be found.
Their neighbor, Joan Smrekar, described what she heard before the police arrived at the Closs home:
“Very loud shots, big gun and didn’t think anything of it. There’s deer, there’s bear, you name it out here so no it didn’t really bother us to hear shots. It’s just something that we hear and with hunting season coming…”
Smrekar admitted she didn’t call 911 because she believed the commotion was the result of a wild animal.
Now, reports believe Closs may have been spotted near Miami, Florida. As First Coast News reports, an unnamed person filed a tip that suggests he saw Closs in a vehicle with two men.

The vehicle was described as a black Ford Explorer with a “possible” Wisconsin licenses plate, I60WER:
Police say he told them two well-dressed, Middle Eastern men were inside the SUV. Officers say the tipster said the men were in their 30s, roughly 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and 200 to 250 pounds. They both reportedly had beards. The person who called authorities said a young girl — who might be Closs — was inside the SUV.
As of right now, Closs is not considered a suspect.
