As soon as the turkey is licked clean from our plates on Thanksgiving, thoughts of Christmas take over.
This was true for Colorado homeowner Glenn Elvenholl, who untangled his decorations on Saturday hoping to get a head start on Christmas preparations.
Unfortunately, the young husband fell off his ladder, breaking his leg and dislocating his ankle. The West Metro Fire Rescue team shared the story and corresponding images on Facebook, explaining that Engine 13 and Medic 13 responded to the call.
Working quickly, the medic crew transported Elvenholl to the hospital.
Members of the engine crew, however, weren’t as hasty to take off. Instead, they stayed behind to finish what Elvenholl had started — hanging the Christmas lights.
With Elvenholl on the mend, his wife Sandy shared the pictures on Facebook.
Now that’s what Christmas is all about!
