In a recent interview with Today, he told Savannah Guthrie that marriage is “really nice,” and something he should have done sooner when it came to marrying Eberstein.

“It’s really nice. I can’t pretend it isn’t. I should have done it before.”

He later told Reuters that they inevitably decided to get married after they were told Eberstein couldn’t go through immigration with Grant and their children:

“Immigration people would say, ‘alright, all the Grants through here,’ and I’d go through with my children. And all the others through there. She’d go through with the nannies. It wasn’t right.”

Both he and Eberstein still find marriage “silly,” but since they live together and already have three children together, it was the right thing to do.

Grant said:

“We’ve got three kids together, we live together, and I didn’t like the moment at immigration. […] I still think it’s a nonsense really and so does my wife by the way. But it just seemed like a nice cozy thing to do.”

He told Entertainment Tonight in a separate interview that their wedding was very small, with “almost no one there,” but that it was lovely nonetheless:

“It was a nice thing to do. I feel [it was] definitely the right decision. I’m very lucky. Great person.”

This is the first marriage for both Grant and Eberstein.

According to People, the newly weds first revealed they were engaged in same month they got married.
