A woman from Brooklyn came home to a trashed apartment and furniture tipped over — but not from a break in.
Apparently, her cleaning ladies created the mess.
Genevieve Snow allegedly hired two housekeepers from Joanna’s Cleaning Service, reports the New York Post.
But instead of cleaning her pad, they ate her food, drank her alcohol, and one even got blackout drunk on the job. Snow wrote a scathing review on Yelp accusing the workers of wrecking her home.
She later posted the message on Facebook.
CLEANING LADIES DRANK MY LIQUOR AND TRASHED MY APARTMENT. I hired two ladies from Joanna’s Cleaning in Brooklyn and they…
I hired two ladies from a cleaning service and they didn’t clean a thing, just drank all my liquor and f***ed up my home!
In a photo, one of the cleaning ladies appeared to be passed out on the floor. Snow said her roommate returned home to find one of the cleaners on her kitchen floor. She wrote:
My roommate came home to one of them blacked out face-down in our kitchen and the other long gone.
My spice rack was smashed, my marble coffee table upended which smashed a stone bowl, keys were gone, booze was gone and chocolate ice cream left on the sofa.
Kristen Nepomuceno, one of the roommates, said she immediately left the apartment to call the cops.
The New York Police Department confirmed officers went to the home and took a drunk woman to the hospital to sober up.
“I walk in and see bare feet — she is literally lying right here.”
When she returned to apartment after calling police and the unconscious woman was now awake and sitting on her couch eating ice-cream.
“She is licking ice cream and hammered, beyond hammered. She drank one whole bottle of Broker’s Gin and [most of] a bottle of Kettle.”
According the Post the woman had recently divorced, and found out her teenage daughter was pregnant. Snow shared the email exchange she had with the owner of the cleaning service, Joanna Otulszewska.
Her husband left her after 19 years marriage, and that day when she was cleaning your apartment she had the phone call that her teenage daughter is pregnant.
She couldn’t stop her emotions and that’s why she used the alcohol, thats never happened before.
The cleaning company offered to come back and clean up the mess for free after the incident, but Snow preferred a refund and to be reimbursed for damage and fees which she itemized in a separate email.
