Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson may have made a name for herself as a feisty, ill-mannered kid on her TLC reality show, but on Sunday night’s “Dancing With The Stars: Juniors,” the 13-year-old’s lovely Disney Night performance definitely shows that she’s learning a thing or two about grace and poise.
Her mentor, Artem Chigvintsev, helped to transform the reality star into Belle and the judges took notice. Her foxtrot performance with partner Tristan Ianiero helped her score big this week.

As reported by the Daily Mail, after learning how to become more graceful, Thompson’s “Beauty and the Beast” dance staged to “Something There” crossed the 20 point threshold and advanced Team Artem through the competition for yet another week.
Fans have been pleasantly surprised that her mentor has been able to bring out Honey Boo Boo’s elegance through some pre-rehearsal etiquette lessons.

The unexpected transformation seemed to work where the judges were concerned because the pair scored 21 points.

Ok. Her best dance indeed. She is not up to standards of the other [competitors], but nevertheless I still am enjoying her performances! Every week, she has gotten more and more limber.
As previously reported by Dearly, some fans may have thought judges would have told Thompson “bye bye” on the first day of the dance competition.
#TeamArtem should have been sent home the first day
Two couples that danced really good were sent home and I was sure #HoneyBooBoo was #ByeBye!
Who is voting for her besides her mother and sister?
And is not because she is big I have seen big people dance really good, she is lazy— Fibro Beauty♌️ (@Kay_Cee_Cee) October 20, 2018
However, according to judge Val Chmerkovskiy, her spirited performances are:
“Always able to bring a smile to people’s faces.”
Will Honey Boo Boo continue to climb the scoreboard and avoid elimination next week?
