Actress Hilary Duff and her daughter, Banks, are grinning ear to ear after Duff’s boyfriend, Matthew Koma, popped the question.
Roughly seven months after Duff and Koma welcomed their first child together, Duff took to Instagram to announce that they are engaged to be married.
Duff and Koma met and began dating in 2017, after Duff’s first marriage to her first husband, former hockey player Mike Comrie, ended in divorce.
But perhaps the sweetest part of Duff’s announcement wasn’t the photo of her shiny new engagement ring, but rather the photo she shared the next day of her and banks.
On May 10, the day after Koma proposed to the mother of his child, Duff shared an adorable back and white photo of her and banks laughing with each other.
Duff captioned the photo, “told Banksy the news.” To which Koma jokingly responded to, saying, “That her dad’s Ryan Gosling.”
Hundreds of people have since offered their congratulations to the happy couple. Some of these people include actresses Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Lea Michelle, and Mandy Moore:
OMG my fave couple

Duff is also a mom to a 7-year-old boy named Luca, whom she had with Comrie.
Nonetheless, Koma has become a big part of Luca’s life, calling him his best friend:
On Instagram, Koma credited Luca with helping him become a father:
Happy Birthday to my little dude Luca who taught me how to be a pops and a kid again all in one round.
Congratulation to this happily blended family.
