It’s been two months since actress Hilary Duff and her boyfriend, singer Matthew Koma, welcomed their daughter, Banks, into the world.

And ever since, Duff — who also has a 6-year-old son from a previous relationship — has opened up about all of the struggles that come with being a mom of two.

Banks … you gotta try harder

So far, the actress has battled through colic, breastfeeding, and most recently, learning how to handle two kids on her own.

As Duff revealed on Instagram, the morning of January 22 was the first time she was left to care for her two children alone on a school morning.

Ok a few thoughts … ? % real talk this is the first day I had two kids on my own on a school morning. Breastfeeding and making breakfast, getting 2 kids and myself dressed and packed and out the door while tripping over 4 dogs and feeding the damn fish was not easy. But I did it. And I’m proud of myself! Im proud of every mom out there who MAKES IT FREAKIN HAPPEN. All day! Everyday! You are the shit! Bad ass, super goddess , world taker oner and you deserved to be praised❤️?? ps laying outfits out for me baby and Luca was essential lol I even got 5 minutes to do some make up ….. then turned around to see Luca had used my lipstick as warrior paint on his face ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

Duff then gave a piece of advice to other moms left rushing around in the morning trying to get themselves and their kids ready:

And hundreds of her followers followed suit, sharing their own struggles and offering up their own pieces of advice on how they manage to get everything done before shipping their kids off to school:

Keep baby in PJ’s so much easier! I mean I would also stay in PJ’s if only I could get away with it

Yesssss! Every morning i get us all ready, out the door, and where we need to be…I celebrate the win! Most mornings I feel like I’ve run a marathon before work! We are all amazing!!!

Thanks for keeping it real

And as one commenter said, being a mom “is not an easy job.”

It is a thankless job but one I signed up for – kinda. I was a single mom of 5 (Dad left, never to return). You’re stronger than you think. Women have been doing it forever Hillary. Glad you recognize what a huge job it is. Everyone has their own battles, let’s be kind to each other.
