Robbie’s dramatic transformation was captured while she was on set in London this week:

According to People magazine, Queen Elizabeth I had a blemished face because of smallpox and white-colored makeup she used that actually worsened her skin condition.

Robbie can be seen sporting the skin condition, which resembles acne in the photos, as well as a receded hairline and bright red curls.

In 2016, Robbie was named one of British GQ’s “hottest women,” but after seeing her appearance for the film, fans couldn’t believe it was actually her:

The film is set to hit theaters in 2018, and judging by fans’ reactions, it might take them that long to get over Robbie’s 180-degree transformation.
