Rain Brown, the 15-year-old star of “Alaskan Bush People,” was heartbroken when her mother was diagnosed with stage three cancer last year.
According to earlier reports, the teen said that she was in “shock” and “very scared” for her mother, Ami Brown. But that hasn’t stopped people from slamming the teen online.
Amid her mother’s devastating cancer battle, the teen posted fun videos on her Instagram to cheer herself up.
But instead of positivity, Rain was accused of acting “too happy” while her mother fought for her life, according to earlier reports.
Now the 15-year-old has revealed that she actually been suffering from a debilitating battle of her own — depression.
Quotes aren’t about who said what when and what they meant when they said it they are about a few words put together in a way so beautiful it speaks to everyone differently, for me they were something I found myself drawn to and couldn’t find out why, they helped me through some of the darkest times in my life, and have lifted me up to great heights, people always mock them for being so small and stupid but knowing so much, meaning so much but just being something someone else said. Being a copycat if you will, but I find quotes are beautiful and hold all the secrets to life. Even the ones that are right in front of our eyes, quotes are like a magic that is always there but only makes sense when you need them to most. So I guess you could say I’m a lot like a quote small and young but has a deeper understanding then even I could ever understand. #quotes #rainspiration #stayhappy #staystrong
For the past few days I’ve been struggling with some things, such as my depression, life, and some teen girl probs too (ya know a broken nail) and I couldn’t figure out why I was in such bad shape I stayed in bed for about four days with minor aches and pains and I couldn’t find out a reason, it bothered me so much, I lost any want to be healthy or motivational, I was just a husk…
Sadly, Rain’s symptoms aren’t uncommon for those suffering from depression. Though depression is primarily thought of as a mental health problem, it can cause a number of physical issues as well.
Changes in appetite, problems with sleep, and overall body fatigue are all common symptoms, according to Psychology Today.
But Rain said that she’s learned to accept that it’s okay to be down sometimes; she continuing the Instagram post, she left an inspirational message to her fans. The reality star wrote:
Stay strong my rainbows and listen to your body and soul they know what you need, don’t let your depression or dark feelings try to make you feel bad or people make you feel bad for doing what you know is right for you.
The teen also said that the family is keeping Ami’s health battle private for now, but that she is “hopeful” for the matriarch’s recovery, Good Housekeeping reported.
