It’s been six years since actress and mother of three Jennifer Garner welcomed a child, but she’s still getting questions from fans about her postpartum body.
Last week, the 46-year-old, who is a mom to Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9 and Samuel, 6, posted a photo of herself from the superhero film, “Elektra.”
The post was in honor of comic book writer Stan Lee, who passed away at the age 95 on November 12. The actress wrote:
You made heroes out of women; I am so grateful to have been one of them. Thank you, #StanLee. RIP.
However, one fan couldn’t help but notice Garner’s fit physique in the image.
According to Popsugar, one mom complimented Garner’s toned abs and asked for tips on getting back her postpartum body. She wrote:
Those abs though. Any tips for a mom of three with a one-week-old at home?
Garner replied with some words of wisdom for the new mom. She said:
Let your body heal and pat yourself on the back for your amazing work. There will be time for workouts soon enough xxx congratulations on your family xxx.
Garner has long been a champion of moms accepting their postpartum bodies.
In 2014, the mom of three responded to rumors that she had a “baby bump” by stating that’s just how her body looked after carrying her children, Us Weekly reported.
She said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” at the time:
“I asked around, and apparently I have a baby bump. I’m here to tell you that I do. I do have a baby bump. I am not pregnant, but I have had three kids and there is a bump. From now on ladies, I will have a bump, and it will be my baby bump. Let’s just all settle in and get used to it. It’s not going anywhere! I have a bump, it’s name is Violet, Sam, Sera.”
Despite Garner’s celebrity status, it seems she’s never been about putting that post-baby “bounce-back” ahead of her health and happiness. Bravo!
