Disney Channel has fired actor Stoney Westmoreland, who played Henry “Ham” Mack on the show “Andi Mack,” after police say he tried to meet up with a minor for sex.

According to People, Westmoreland messaged the person he’d believed to be 13 years old through an app specifically “used for dating and meeting people for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity.”

During the conversation, the 48-year-old allegedly sent the minor pornographic images, as well as requested sexual favors and nude photos.

According to People, he then arranged plans to meet up with the minor and bring him or her back to his hotel. The Salt Lake City Police Department and FBI Child Exploitation Task Force arrested the actor on Friday, while he was in a ride-sharing service on his way to meet the teen.

Westmoreland has been charged with one count of enticing a minor by internet or text and four counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor, both of which are third-degree felonies.

As People reports, the Disney sitcom is filmed in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was arrested.

A Disney Channel spokesperson said:

“Stoney Westmoreland, an actor working on the series ‘Andi Mack,’ was arrested in Salt Lake City today. Given the nature of the charges and our responsibility for the welfare of employed minors, we have released him from his recurring role and he will not be returning to work on the series which wraps production on its third season next week.”

In addition to his “Andi Mack” role, the actor has appeared on “Gilmore Girls,” “Scandal,” “Breaking Bad,” and “NCIS.”

One Twitter user commented on the issue:

Now would be a good time for all parents of kids who had contact with this man to talk to their children and ensure their well being, just as it is always a good time to talk to them about sick people who take advantage of kids. Silence only helps abusers and never the victims.

Another user commented:

Wtf????? 13???? Get this clown outta here!!!

As People reports, there has been no word from the actor’s representatives.
