On Tuesday, November 21, 70s teen heartthrob and lead singer of “The Partridge Family” David Cassidy passed away at the age of 67.

According to previous reports, Cassidy was admitted into the ICU of a Fort Lauderdale, Florida hospital and was said to be in organ failure days before his passing.

In a statement released by his publicist, he died surrounded by loved ones, which included his only daughter, Katie Cassidy.

Cassidy was reported to have battled alcoholism. In February, after announcing he would be ending his tour, he also revealed that he was diagnosed with dementia.

According to USA Today, Cassidy decided to stop touring because he wanted “to focus on what I am, who I am and how I’ve been without any distractions. I want to love. I want to enjoy life.”

Sadly, as his daughter revealed in her first tweet since her father’s passing, Cassidy may not have been able to enjoy his life like he had hoped to:

Katie mentioned her father’s last words on Twitter:

Words cant express the solace our family’s received from all the love & support during this trying time. My father’s last words were “So much wasted time”. This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute….thank you.

Fellow Twitter users thanked Katie for sharing the personal moment between her and her father:

Cassidy is survived by both Katie and his son, Beau.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Cassidy family during this trying time.
