Former professional soccer player David Beckham is in the spotlight once again after television host Pierce Morgan dragged him for kissing his young daughter on the lips.

As Dearly previously reported, this isn’t the first time Beckham landed in hot water for kissing his little girl on the lips.

This time, Beckham was shamed after he and his daughter attended a World Cup match to watch their native England compete for the championship.

Cameras caught the father-daughter duo engaging in a sweet peck while in their seats during the match.

Morgan had some things to say about Beckham unabashedly kissing his little girl:

“It’s very sweet . . .Why would a father kiss his daughter on the lips? Don’t get it. Creepy. Weird. Creepy. . . You posted that for the world, why?”

The host was later dragged for calling their relationship “creepy” and “weird.”

And although Beckham didn’t post this particular kiss, he has in the past:

However, this time, many of his fans found the display of affection adorable and defended the doting father for being just that:

If you see anything other than a dad loving his daughter then the problem lies with you.

Why are we shaming a man for kissing his daughter? I have always and will always kiss my children unless they ask me not to. This is pure love. There is nothing sinister about parental affection.

There is something deeply broken in our media when it normalises, ignores, & enables male violence against women and girls, but treats a father expressing affection towards his daughter in a healthy, non-toxic way as suspicious.

This story should be about how the daughter of one of the world’s greatest footballers has a talent for playing the game herself but instead they’ve made something innocent sound creepy. STOP IT.

Beckham has said in the past that Harper is his last chance to see one of his children follow in his footsteps. He says the 7-year-old loves soccer and continues to play competitively unlike his three older sons.

Tom Brady was also previously dragged for his public show of affection towards his kids.

I think kissing in the mouth is intimate not forDads and daughter it Should feel awkward to both of them and creepy….and if society think Art Kelly is wrong what about under. age kisses with your daughter….what shouldn’t be……that should be reserved for a sexual partner

ON the lips,is fine. When people start that mess, check to see how dirty your lives are first. Then recheck your thoughts,it’s normal for a parent to show affection to their child,we understand some people do have family issues, where this may effect THEM differently.

I alway kissed my orient on the lip. What is wrong with that? People today find a fault with every thing. I was a peck not a long mushy kiss. Get over it.

Leave them alone!! There are differences between parent/child and couples kisses!! Its all in your mind if you see anything other than plain old affection!! I kiss my son all the time and it’s not a lingering kiss but a quick smack!! So stop it please!! My mom and I kissed all the time quick and loving on the lips. I am female and so is my mom!!

Please stop is right, please stop this craziness. There are so many terrible, terrible things happening in this world that really need fixed. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I am 43 and until my dads passing day after last Christmas I always kissed him on the lips. I wish I still could. If it was more then a peck it would different, but it wasn’t. So very harmless. Instead of ridaculing a father for showing his child love, how about finding a dead beat dad that has nothing to do with his kids to bring shame to.

This Dad is passing on the blessing of love to his children….my 13 year old boy gets a kiss from his Dad all the time. Its one of the greatest gifts you can give them. Give them lots of kisses and hugs….its a healthy thing to do. If the media doesn’t approve who cares.

Really? Wow I wonder if it’s only people who come from the u.k who thinks like that?

What the heck is the matter with people! My daughter’s father gives her a kiss on the lips anytime she asked for one she even gets kisses from me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I mean my goodness someone shows their child affection in public and people freak out. Perhaps these people should be more worried about themselves and keep their nose out of other people’s business. Good for him for being a loving caring father that a daughter needs. There won’t be too many more years where she will even want her dad to kiss her on the lips much less hug her in public. Parents should be able to enjoy their children while they’re young and not be criticized for it. Lord knows the time goes too fast.
