Bailey Sellers turned 21 this week and got flowers from her dad. This would not seem out of the ordinary, were it not for the fact that her father passed away five years ago from cancer.

In a tweet, Sellers offered an explanation: before her father passed away, he prepaid for flowers to be sent to her every year on her birthday until she turned 21.

Sellers tweeted:

She also posted a photo of a letter he wrote to go with the flowers.

Her father wrote:

This is my last love letter to you until we meet again. I do not want you to shed another tear for me my Baby girl for I am in a better place.

You are and will always be the most precious jewel I was given. It is your 21st birthday and I want you to always respect your Momma and stay true to yourself.

Be happy and live life to the fullest. I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I’ll be.

I love you Boo Boo and Happy Birthday!!!!

Her post got a shoutout on Twitter Moments and was retweeted more than 300,000 times. Many Twitter users reached out to Sellers to share their condolences or how moved they were by her story.

Sellers responded to the outpouring of messages.

Her father wanted to remind her that he would always be with her no matter what. But his simple act of love has not only touched her but inspired millions of people all over the world.
