A New York girl has been sent to live with relatives in another state after her mother was shown a video of her being surrounded by three teenage boys.

According to Pix 11, on December 18, the 11-year-old girl, who has not been identified, was walking home from school with a male classmate when she encountered the teens.

A Snapchat video recorded by her sixth-grade “friend” shows the victim being surrounded by the harassing teens.

She explained to them:

“I don’t want to do anything. I don’t know you guys.”

One of the boys replied:

“You can get to know us by putting my d**k in your mouth.”

Further, two of the boys can be seen throwing water in her face, throwing a book bag at her, and hitting her in the back of the head while laughing.

However, the victim did not tell her mother about the attack when she arrived home. Her mother Shevon, who declined to give her last name, told reporters someone from her daughter’s school informed her about the video.

She said:

“A friend from school called and said, ‘Your daughter is on Snapchat.’ Kids were celebrating. They were congratulating one another. They were laughing at her.”

As Daily News reports, Shevon believes the whole incident was premeditated.

The mother explained:

“It was a setup. They already had it planned because he started recording even before they did it.”

Shevon decided to go to the police.

According to Pix11, she said:

“I was upset. I wanted to find these kids and know why they did this to my daughter.”

However, that only seemed to make matters worse. She’s reportedly received threats from the boys and their parents for taking legal action.

As Daily News reports, Shevon said:

“I’ve been threatened because I went to the police. We really have to go. I don’t feel safe … I don’t know where they get this behavior, and then to record this? They put the video out. Would they to do this to their sisters? People think she was just attacked, but she was also sexually harassed.”

As a safety precaution, Shevon has sent her daughter to live with relatives in another state.
So far, the 14-year-old who sprayed the preteen with water has turned himself in, Pix 11 reports. Due to his age, his name was not released. He has been charged with reckless endangerment and assault.

Shevon remains baffled by the boys’ behavior.
She said:

“I would never have raised my son to do anything like that. My son will never hit a girl.”

Parents.com recommends that guardians who have children involved in bullying take several steps.

First, the magazine recommends that parents acknowledge their child’s behavior and create a safe space to talk about what he or she did and why it was wrong.

Further, guardians should focus on the consequences the child will face because of those actions.

Next, Parents recommends working with the child’s school to resolve the issue and get informed about available resources.

Lastly, the source says parents need to find ways to enforce positive social and emotional skills in the child’s life. Conflict resolution is among highly valued skills.

In regards to the case, Daily News reports that officers are looking for one other suspect involved in the assault and are asking those with information to call (800) 577-TIPS.

  1. You can take the individual out of the jungle but you can’t take the jungle out of the individual! Regards of their age they need to be locked up. To do this to any individual is a crime but to an 11 year old. Hanging is too good for these a-holes!

  2. If the parents of these PUNKS have been threatening this woman and her child THEY also need to be charge and arrested. It is high time society stops saying it was just a childish prank and they meant no harm. B.S. These punks need to face the consequences of their actions.
