An innovative dad said he had to quickly come up with a brilliant way to feed his fussy newborn while his wife was out. Allen Lamarr Fails Jr. posted a hilarious video after he solved his parenting dilemma.
The father of two from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, told Good Morning America:
“My daughter is famous and she’s not even two weeks old. My wife left the house and the baby got hungry. [She] wouldn’t take the bottle and I didn’t know what to do.”
Fails Jr. said he was having trouble feeding his hungry child with a bottle when he finally had enough of his daughter refusing to eat and decided to improvise by simulating breastfeeding.

He told USA Today:
“I decided to cut a small hole in my shirt big enough for the bottle nipple to go through and I begin to feed her. The baby knew something wasn’t the same but she took it because I guess she felt comfortable.”
The dad said he was relieved when his daughter finally started to feed, and he wanted to share the simple trick with other fathers. Fails Jr. told GMA:
“I [recorded] it to show people there’s more than one way to do something … whenever you care about somebody you do anything to make it work, even when you don’t have the resources.”
Fathers can also help moms out with feeding by supplementing the nursing system with a breastfeeding device.
Amazon and other retailers are selling feeding gadgets that prompt skin-to-skin systems for dads and babysitters.
With modern technology, “breastfeeding” has now been made available for fathers.
