Courtney Cox endured had a long road to becoming a mother at age 40, she shared last week.
The 54-year-old actress revealed her struggle with infertility when she stopped by “Busy Tonight” to promote her new Facebook Watch show, “9 Months With Courtney Cox.”
The series follows 10 different couples on their journey to becoming parents. Cox called the series “raw” and said it will leave viewers in tears every episode.
On the show, the mom of one discussed her struggle to conceive with her ex-husband, David Arquette.
Cox gave birth to daughter Coco, now 14, after years of miscarriages, she revealed to Philipps.
The actress said it was part of the reason why she decided to take part in the series. Cox said:
“I like real human stories and, yes, I had a difficult time. I had a lot of miscarriages and I don’t think that’s something people shouldn’t talk about because it’s … unfortunate, but it happens.”
She added that she was determined to become a mother:
“I didn’t want to give up. I just think it’s important to get things out there so people can realize they’re not alone.”
Last month, Cox sent a heartbreaking goodbye message to her daughter after her private plane had to make an emergency landing.
The actress was on a flight with her former co-star, Jennifer Aniston, when something malfunctioned, according to Us Weekly. Cox explained:
“I sent a little text to Coco, [saying], ‘I love you.’ I didn’t say why. And to [boyfriend] Johnny [McDaid] … I told him everything that was going on and I FaceTimed him after.”
She said the aircraft was “in the air for four hours, burning off fuel.” Thankfully, the plane landed safely.
