Actress Courteney Cox says she often doesn’t “hold onto things” but is glad she kept one old dress after she was able to pass it on to her teen daughter.
The 54-year-old “Friends” star shared a photo of her 15-year-old daughter, Coco, sporting a dress that she first donned in 1998.
Cox wore the dress to the premiere of the movie “Snake Eyes,” which she attended alongside Coco’s father, David Arquette, USA Today reports.
Now, it’s a perfect fit for her teenager.
On Wednesday, Cox shared a side-by-side image of herself at the 1998 premiere and her daughter wearing the dress now.
In the caption, Cox remarked that the blue lace dress was a “damn good purchase.”
The actress’ former “Friends” co-star, Lisa Kudrow, reacted to the side-by-side image in the comments section, writing:
Cox welcomed her daughter at age 40 after undergoing in vitro fertilization treatments.
She recently revealed that she “had a lot of miscarriages” before managing to conceive Coco. The mom said on “Busy Tonight”:
“I didn’t want to give up. I just think it’s important to get things out there so people can realize they’re not alone.”
Cox officially broke off her marriage with her child’s father in 2013 after more than a decade.
However, Arquette said they still work hard to co-parent together. He told Closer Weekly that “it’s important that your child knows you respect each other.”
Their daughter just celebrated her 15th birthday on June 13.
