Christina El Moussa is back on the dating market after splitting up with boyfriend Doug Spedding.

As People magazine reports, the “Flip or Flop” star’s relationship with Spedding has come to an end, and her ex is headed off to a rehabilitation center.

The details surrounding the break-up sound messy, with reports of cheating, drugs, and arrests being involved. But El Moussa is being supportive of Spedding, who has entered rehab for addiction issues, according to In Touch.

A source told the publication:

“Christina encouraged him to go back to rehab. Christina is the type of person who sees the best side of others, and that’s how she was with Doug. Caring about someone does not save someone and Christina knows that. She just wanted to help him.”

The source said El Moussa is standing by her ex and his kids as he receives treatment:

“Christina didn’t just turn her back on him. She respects and supports Doug’s decision to take the steps to make changes in his life, Ultimately she cares about him and his daughters and has no doubt this is what is best for them.”

Although she didn’t mention Spedding, the “Flip or Flop” star went inspirational following the split with an uplifting Instagram post:

The 34-year-old began dating the 55-year-old businessman following her divorce filing from her “Flip or Flop” co-star Tarek El Moussa, but the two knew each other before her marriage to Tarek.

She and Spedding were all smiles when they were seen together. That is, before cheating rumors began to swirl about Spedding and his ex, Tracy Diaz. According to another In Touch source, El Moussa found text conversations on Spedding’s phone between him and Diaz.

To add injury to insult, issues from his past also began to surface earlier this summer, namely a domestic violence charge for assaulting his 10-year-old twin daughters’ mother, Nicole Doucette, and an arrest for possession of a controlled substance that happened in 2011.

While the pair may no longer be a romantic couple, Spedding’s issues do not seem to be stopping El Moussa from remaining someone for Spedding to lean on while he battles through his addiction. A source told People:

“Christina supports Doug’s decision to seek treatment and remains in contact to support his recovery.”
