As Christina Anstead prepares for the arrival of her new bundle of joy, the third time mom said she’s been experiencing heartburn.

On  June 27, the HGTV star, 35, shared a list of her family’s recent woes under an Instagram picture of herself holding her belly.

Anstead wrote:

June has been a crazy month for this family. Tay had tonsil surgery – her recovery was rough (luckily after 3 weeks she’s all healed up!), @ant_anstead tore his bicep and had to have surgery (ouch!) and Tay & Bray got some not so fun virus that’s going around …. needless to say… June and it’s gloom are almost over and we are ready for July . Officially #29weekspregnant and dealing with some major heartburn … but we are in the home stretch. Time to start preparing the nursery.

According to the American Pregnancy Association, heartburn is a burning sensation in the chest. The feeling happens when the “valve between the stomach and the esophagus are unable to prevent stomach acid from passing back into the esophagus.”

A pregnancy hormone called progesterone causes the valve to become relaxed, thus increasing the frequency of heartburn. The sensation, along with indigestion, often occurs more frequently during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Anstead shared more “joys of 29 weeks” in her Instagram story.  The “Flip or Flop” star posted a screenshot of a list of pregnancy symptoms: gas and bloating, hemorrhoids, and lightheadedness.

However, Anstead is no stranger to motherhood. As Us Weekly reports, she shares 8-year-old daughter Taylor, and 3-year-old son Brayden with her ex-husband and co-star Tarek El Moussa.

However, this will be the star’s first child with her new husband Ant Anstead, who also has two children from a previous marriage.
