Luna goes to the dentist

While on a work trip without her children, Chrissy Teigen’s 3-year-old daughter, Luna, had her first-ever dentist appointment.

The mom shared videos of her daughter’s initial apprehension about visiting the doctor for the first time before sharing another showing Luna seemingly enjoying her time.

The video showed Luna’s dentist making the 3-year-old as comfortable as possible as she sat on her grandmother’s lap.

After sharing the video, one fan asked Teigen if that’s her mom who Luna is with in the clip:

Is it your mom who is with her when you’re away? What a blessing!

To which Teigen took the opportunity to praise her mom, Vilailuck, for always being there for her grandchildren:

Very lucky!!! she is the best.

And others quickly agreed with the mom of two, many of whom said there is “nothing like being blessed with your Mom watching your children”:

That is in fact the best blessing everrrrr

When I saw that she stays with you guys the majority of the time my heart got all warm and fuzzy! Family goals

Reminds me of my mom! What would we do without them?!

However, despite her mom receiving praise for always being there for Teigen and Teigen’s husband, John Legend, Teigen was also shamed for waiting so long to take Luna to the dentist for the first time.

“First? They made us start at 6 months,” one commenter wrote. Then others began jumping to Teigen’s defense:

Lol. All dentists do before about 5 years of age is have a look around and count teeth! I can’t believe some people are up in arms she didn’t take Luna before then. Seriously unreal.

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, parents should bring their children to a pediatric dentist by the age of 1 or at the sign of his or her first tooth.

However, it’s also important to create good dental habits at home by creating a brushing schedule of twice a day.
