Just three months after Chris Pratt, 39, finalized his divorce from actress Anna Faris, he announced his engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger, 29.
Last month, the actor confirmed on Instagram that he is going to marry the author, who is the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
He captioned a photo of his new fiancee showing off the ring:
Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! ??♥️
Now, the actor is sharing some details on his upcoming nuptials and how his son, 6-year-old Jack, feels about getting a new stepmom.
Pratt told Us Weekly at the premiere of “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” that they haven’t fully started planning their wedding.
But they do have an idea of when they want to tie the knot, he said:
“A little, you know, maybe fall, winter kind of thing and you know, we’ve got a lot to get done.”
As for his son, Pratt said Jack is “so thrilled” about the upcoming marriage.
And Jack could have some brothers and sisters in the near future.
Last month, Pratt said that he’s looking to have a lot of children with his future wife. The “Jurassic World” star told Entertainment Tonight:
“The future? Oh. Lots of kids. Maybe less time spent working, more time spent enjoying life.”
“I always want to be that guy that works to live, not lives to work. I think [I want to spend] just a lot of time at the farm and a lot of time catching a lot of fish and seeing lots of sunsets.”
Pratt’s ex-wife has been supportive of his quick engagement after their divorce, Dearly reported. Faris commented on Pratt’s engagement announcement:
I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!
And she wrote on Schwarzenegger’s engagement post:
I love you guys!!
It seems that mom approves of her ex-husband’s choice of stepmom for their young son.
The happy couple has yet to drop an official date for their nuptials.
