On Tuesday, Chloe Kim earned her first Olympic Gold medal for Team USA in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

People watched in awe as the snowboarding sensation nailed her Olympic debut, as Dearly previously reported.

But, someone else captured fans’ attention as Chloe made her way down the slopes. Chloe’s dad, Jong Jin Kim, was waiting at the bottom of the pipe as he cheered on his daughter.

Her biggest fan even quit his job as an engineer to support his daughter’s Olympic dreams, which began after the duo took a snowboard lesson together when she was 4 years old, KGW8 reports.

At the Olympics, the dad showed his fatherly love with a handmade laminated sign that simply read, “Go Chloe,” and was adorned with a red heart:

People fell in love with Chloe’s dad as soon as they saw the sign:

The 17-year-old earned a 93.75 on her first run in the women’s halfpipe and took the top spot on the podium with a score of 98.25 after her third run.
