On February 20, Candace Cameron Bure’s oldest son, Lev, turned 18 years old.

The family of five, comprised of Bure, her husband Val, their daughter Natasha, and two sons, Lev and Maks, went to dinner Tuesday night to celebrate.

As Bure revealed on her Instagram page, Lev wasn’t the only one who received a gift during the celebration.

During the birthday dinner, the teenager gave his mom a card. Bure alluded that the message inside made her cry, saying that she “was buried in [his] shoulder for a few minutes, at least.”

The note read:

Mom! I first just need to say thank you. You have literally put your life down for me. You helped, encouraged, cared for, loved, worked, and really done everything for me. I would be nowhere near close to where I am today if it wasn’t for you. Papa has helped me with athletics, but the man I have become I owe to you. My love, patience, and heart came from you. I owe it all to you. Thank you! This day is about you, not me. I literally would not be here if it wasn’t for you… literally. We should be celebrating you and papa! My life is so blessed and like no other because of you. No one in the universe could possibly replace you. I love you with all my heart.

Hundreds commented on Bure’s post, many pointing out how sweet her son was for doing that and saying that she did a great job as a mom raising such kind, considerate, and gracious children.

Straight from the heart is the best! Glad you have a memory forever in writing.

Woah! If that doesn’t make a full heart and complete life I don’t know what does.

Omg what a doll!!

This is so precious! An absolute testimony to being the mom Jesus called you to be!

Oh my gosh, I’m bawling and that’s not even my kid!! That is so sweet!! I know you must be so proud and grateful for such an amazing son!! Raising my daughter to be gracious like that!!!

Ok, sobbing here!! How beautiful is that kid’s heart for his mom! Candace you already know this but you are a very blessed woman…Proverbs 31 and all. May God continue to bless you and your family!

Wow! Isn’t that the best gift a mama can receive? I’m so happy for you.

Some even said that the letter made them cry too. Beautiful.
