The unexpected death of Disney star Cameron Boyce has left many speechless.
As Inside Edition reports, the 20-year-old actor passed away after suffering a seizure in his sleep. His family confirmed his death on June 6.
A spokesperson for the actor’s family said:
“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
As Good Morning America reports, Boyce made his Hollywood debut at the age of 9 in the horror flick “Mirrors.” About two years later, the actor shared the big screen with actor Adam Sandler in the film “Grown Ups.”
Sandler reacted to the news of Boyce’s death on Twitter.

Too Young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.
Furthermore, another co-star, actress Peyton List, also reacted to the tragedy stating she was “heartbroken.”
In part, she wrote:
The boy whose contagious laugh I can still hear.
The boy who left everyone feeling hopeful and full of love.
He was younger than me but taught me how to spread love and kindness more than anyone that has ever been in my life.
He lifted everyone around him, and inspired/pushed me to be a better person than I ever would’ve been without his guidance, patience, and love… My heart is broken I’ve never hurt this bad.
Actress Skai Jackson, who also starred in “Jessie” with Boyce, soon followed with an emotional Instagram post of her own.

I don’t even know where to start… I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had… I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much… fly high ?? ?? Gods best Angel . #CameronBoyce
Jackson captioned the post:

Most recently, Boyce dedicated some of his time to charity work. For example, he received the Pioneering Spirit Award at last year’s Thirst Gala, sponsored by The Thirst Project.
Boyce raised $30,000 for the nonprofit organization to build wells for clean drinking water in Swaziland.
