A Tennessee middle school student took the country by storm after his mom, Kimberly Jones, posted a heartbreaking video of the boy sobbing as he described being bullied.

Kimberly’s son, Keaton, sat in the passenger seat of a car telling his mom through his tears why he was afraid to go to lunch:

According to KTLA, Keaton explains in the video, which is no longer available on the mom’s Facebook page, what he goes through being bullied at school:

“They make fun of my nose. They call me ugly. They say I have no friends.”

He told his mom they:

“Poured milk on me and put ham down my clothes, threw bread at me.”

Celebrities jumped in to support the middle school boy:

Now, the attention has turned to his mother, who has raised eyebrows about some of her past behavior.

TMZ reports Kimberly is getting slammed for reportedly posting photos of herself with the Confederate flag along with a photo of Keaton holding the U.S. flag while another child has a Confederate flag in his hand.

The mother also had some questionable words in a previous post that is being singled out by some as racist:

Now, the mother’s getting called out for acting as cruel as her son’s bullies:

But some just want to keep the focus on bullying:

Keaton’s Instagram page posted an apology after word spread about his mother’s photos:

The boys asked forgiveness for his mother in the post, which has since been removed.

More alarm bells went off when a GoFundMe page for Keaton got yanked, according to TMZ. GoFundMe told the publication that the donation page labeled “Stand Up for Keaton,” is no longer accepting donations after raising $58,249 in donations since it began two days ago.

GoFundMe said the man that created the page doesn’t know the boy’s mother, so they need to contact Kimberly to ensure the money is going to her. They have not been able to reach her so far.

TMZ also reported that a second GoFundMe page was shut down by GoFundMe due to fraud concerns over a page that claimed to be set up by Keaton’s mother to raise funds for Christmas gifts for her son. They also need to confirm those donations were actually going to Kimberly, as well.
