Since Bristol Palin, 27, made her debut on MTV’s “Teen Mom OG” earlier this month, fans have gotten an inside look at her rocky split from ex-husband Dakota Meyer, 30.
As Dearly previously reported, the two said they divorced in-part due to difficulties with communication stemming from Meyer’s struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Palin said that she and her husband could no longer “co-exist” together.
And on Monday’s episode, the mom broke down in tears over yet another disagreement — while Meyer had a very different reaction.
The mom said she planned to move out when she returned to Austin, Texas and could find a new home. She said on a phone call with Meyer:
“I know my lawyer sent you something the other day about, you know, please don’t touch my stuff. As soon as I find a new house, I’ll be gone like the wind.”
Despite her request, Meyer moved her bed and belongings to the spare bedroom, so that she could have “space.” He told a producer that he was feeling great:
“The last two weeks, I’m happier than I’ve ever been, since 2015. The happiest I’ve ever been, the most relieved, the least amount of stress — what someone would feel like if they got out of life sentence prison. It’s incredible.”
Palin returned home to find her belongings moved and quickly broke down in tears. She told a producer that she wasn’t happy he moved her out of the master bedroom:
“I don’t blame him for not wanting to be around me, but I think it’s complete BS that my stuff is moved. I’m just disappointed. In our divorce, I didn’t ask for anything. All I asked for was the money I put into this house, to have that back. Even with all the furniture, I bought everything in this house. I’m not going to be petty … that to me is just petty.”
The couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Sailor, walked over and asked her mom why she was crying. Palin replied:
“Mommy’s being a big fat baby!”
She later told producers that she hopes their daughter is too young to understand what’s going on, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Meyer filed for divorce in February 2018, after less than two years of marriage.
