Bristol Palin and her ex-husband, Dakota Meyer, are not happy with the creators of their reality television show.

Earlier this year, the former couple joined the cast of MTV’s “Teen Mom OG.” In the past, Palin explained her decision for agreeing to be on the show.

She said:

“My life is freakin’ not perfect at all. My s**t stinks up and down, sideways, whatever. … If there is anything with my life that resonates with someone else and gives them any sort of light at the end of the tunnel then I think that God gave me a platform to do that.”

However, now both Palin and Meyer are saying that the show has yet to show the world an accurate representation of their lives.

Meyer first took to Twitter to express his disgust with Viacom, the mass media company that owns MTV:

He wrote:

What’s sad is that Viacom has turned Teen Mom into a trailer trash Real Houswives instead of showing what the true struggles of parenting are. I’ll bring my VLOG back and show you what single parenting looks like since they can’t seem to figure it out.

Palin aired out her own grievances on social media roughly a week later.

The mom of three took to Instagram to say that even though the show has yet to really show what life is like for her and her child in Texas, that hasn’t stopped her from knowing she’s doing the best she can:

If I cared what people thought of me, I wouldn’t be here today – let’s be real. I’ve stood strong and held it down for my kids since day one. No matter how bad @teenmom tries to portray my “life” ….. my babies, my family, my close friends – they know the TRUTH. I’m a pretty great mom, work my ass off, show up, and hustle everyday to give my kids a pretty great life. @mtv doesn’t want to talk about faith, show work ethic, or juggling three kids alone, they don’t want to show the humble process of starting over after a divorce, building a career, or any real life issues. All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve said some mean things and learned a lot the last several months – but the life I’ve built for my kids is NOT sitting around talking about baby daddy drama. Every week is a continued disappointment with their inaccuracies and false narratives. I hate getting all emo on you guys but I’ve kept quiet for too long about it. Don’t believe everything you see on TV.

It’s unclear if Palin and Meyer have plans to leave the show at the end of this current season.
