Actor Luke Perry, who rose to fame on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” passed away Monday at age 52, his publicist has confirmed.

Perry was hospitalized last Wednesday, February 27, after suffering from a massive stroke that morning.

A rep for the star told Us Weekly at the time that Perry was “under observation at the hospital.”

TMZ reports that the 52-year-old died this morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, while surrounded by his friends and family.

Perry played high school student Dylan McKay for 10 seasons of Fox’s hit show, “Beverly Hills, 90210.” The show’s success made him a household name.

The actor more recently appeared on CW’s “Rivderdale,” where he played Archie’s father.

Many of his former co-stars spoke out following his stroke, including his ‘90210’ love interest Shannon Doherty.

On Sunday, she told Entertainment Tonight:

“I can’t talk about it here ’cause I will literally start crying but I love him and he knows I love him. It’s Luke, and he’s my Dylan.”

Lili Reinhart, who stars with him on “Riverdale,” posted a kind message on Instagram.

She wrote:

Thinking of you, Luke. And praying for your safe recovery.

Perry was also slated to appear in Quintin Tarantino’s upcoming film, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

The cause of his stroke has not been publicly released.
