Former first daughter Barbara Pierce Bush tied the knot in a secret wedding over the weekend.

Her father, former President George W. Bush, walked her down the aisle in an intimate ceremony at the Bush family’s compound in Maine, reports People.

Twenty family members, including her twin sister Jenna Bush Hager, her grandfather former President George H. W., and mother Laura Bush, watched on as the 36-year-old non-profit founder exchanged vows with screenwriter Craig Louis Coyne.

The bride wore a stunning silk Vera Wang gown accessorized with something borrowed from grandmother and namesake former first lady Barbara Bush. Barbara Pierce told People:

“It’s really sweet. The ‘something borrowed’ that I’m wearing is this bracelet that my grandfather gave to my grandmother on their 70th anniversary.”

The dearly beloved matriarch passed away at age 92.

Bush’s twin sister, “Today” anchor Jenna Bush Hager, served as the matron of honor. The bride’s something blue was a pair of earrings from her sister. Jenna told her Today colleagues:

“I’m crying 24 hours later. There were so many happy tears.”

Jenna also talked about the sentimental toast she gave during the ceremony.

She said:

“I ended with a letter that my grandfather wrote to my grandmother … He was sitting right next to me as I read it.”

Coyne, a Georgia native who lives in Los Angeles, met Barbara on a blind date set up by friends last November, according to People.

However, the couple kept their whirlwind romance a secret — and after a few months of dating, the 36-year-old proposed in the exact same location where Barbara’s grandparents got engaged in Maine, reports Today.

The father of bride, George H. W., shared the exciting Bush family news on Instagram.

He said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Craig Coyne to our family.”
