Angelina Jolie may be wearing a new career hat at some point in the future — but not too soon.
The 43-year-old actress hinted at a possible future in politics during her interview on BBC Radio 4’s “Today” on Friday.
According to BBC, when host Justin Webb asked if Jolie would consider getting involved in politics, she said:
“If you asked me 20 years ago, I would’ve laughed… I always say I’ll go where I’m needed, I don’t know if I’m fit for politics… but then I’ve also joked that I don’t know if I have a skeleton left in my closet.”
Jolie is a special envoy to the UN Refugee Agency. She is an activist for various issues including sexual violence, conservation, and refugees.

She notes that her work has provided her with relevant experience.
The mother of six said:
“I’m also able to work with governments and I’m also able to work with militaries, and so I sit in a very interesting place of being able to get a lot done.”
Webb went onto suggest that Jolie’s future political involvement meant she could be added to a list of 30 to 40 other Democrats running for the presidential nomination in 2020.
Jolie simply responded, “thank you.”

A Business Insider reports, the actress says she will remain quiet “for now” because she believes she can accomplish a lot “without a title.”
“I am pretty open and out there. I can take a lot on the chin. I honestly will do whatever I think can really make change.”
Further, Jolie will take on the role as executive producer of a new BBC children’s news program, “Our World,” which will debut in 2019.
