Coming home to an Amazon delivery is one of the best surprises for an online shopper, but for one California customer, well, he came home to much more than what he bargained for.

According to Fox News, Nemy Bautista was greeted by what he believed to be dog poop at the foot of his Sacramento home’s driveway.

However, after watching the footage from his security camera, he learned the disgusting truth: A woman delivering an Amazon package from a U-Haul truck had defecated on his front lawn. The footage, which Bautista released, shows the woman seemingly backing up her truck to provide some cover.

Bautista told Fox he was “shocked” by what he saw, and he immediately reached out to Amazon to, quite literally, clean up the mess.

According to reports, a representative from Amazon was “shocked and thoroughly apologized” when Bautista reported the extra package. The deliverywoman was reportedly a third-party hire who was later “dealt with” by Amazon — although it’s unclear if she was fired.

Eventually, one of the woman’s supervisors came to Bautista’s home and cleaned up her off-putting surprise with just a plastic bag. Bautista told Fox:

“He didn’t have any gloves, nothing. He grabbed a plastic bag to scoop it up and I told him he couldn’t put it my [trash] can. I didn’t want it stinking up my can.”

But that wasn’t the last disappointment he faced with an Amazon deliveryperson. According to Fox, the very next day Bautista said he reviewed his home’s security footage and saw that the deliveryperson threw his package up the driveway instead of walking up the driveway:

“To put salt on the wound, we had another driver the next day that tossed the package. He tossed it instead of walking up the driveway. It was a fragile porcelain figurine. It didn’t break.”

Thankfully, there’s been no sign of a repeat pooper, but Bautista is just hoping he won’t need a plastic bag for his next delivery.
