NBC’s “This Is Us” has gained wide appeal for its emotional, family-centric storylines, often bringing its fans to tears. Mandy Moore, who stars on the show, is no different from the rest of us.

Moore confirmed this when she posted a photo on her Instagram stories, in which she is sporting under-eye masks.

She wrote:

Watched the Super Bowl episode last night with the cast and I’m still not okay.

As reported by CNN, the show’s creator, Dan Fogelman, said that the episode will answer fans’ questions regarding the death of the character Jack, played by Milo Ventimiglia— and it will be much more emotional than usual.

Patriots fans and Eagles fans who also watch the show are steeling themselves for both the outcome of the game and the outcome of the show.

Patriots fan Kaly Nasiff told CNN:

“This big episode airing after the Super Bowl could go two different ways. One, the Patriots could win and everyone in my house goes from screaming and yelling to bawling. Or, the Patriots could lose and then watching Jack die will let us cry everything out. It could be cathartic.”

Chelsea Miller, an Eagles fan said:

“I will say I was not thrilled about the episode airing after the Super Bowl at first. I keep saying I’m either going to be really happy and the show is going to bring me down or I’m already going to be upset and that episode will just make it worse. I’m definitely hoping for the first option though, #FlyEaglesFly!”

It will be an exciting and emotional Super Bowl Sunday for many Americans, even those who don’t care about the game.
