It's been nearly a month since Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex when she married Prince Harry at a highly anticipated ceremony at Windsor Castle, but she's still learning the royal rules.
Markle has to abide by a strict set of rules now that she's a member of the royal family.
Everything from signing autographs to having social media accounts is strictly banned for the duchess, according to Reader's Digest.
The 36-year-old also has to curtsey whenever she enters a room or speaks to another royal ranked above her in the Order of Precedence.
That includes Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and several other relatives. But most importantly, she must pay respect to the queen.
But apparently, the new duchess hasn't nailed down when exactly she's supposed to curtsey.
Markle made her very first appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on June 9, in celebration of the Queen's birthday, Dearly previously reported.
And fans noticed that she was a bit nervous about properly acknowledging the queen's arrival.
In a video of Markle standing beside Prince Harry, the duchess nervously looked forward and asked her husband “Do it?” to make sure she curtsies at the proper time.
Prince Harry said “yes” and the two bowed down together.
Fans of the royal family applauded the sweet moment and said it showed how strong their partnership really is. One Instagram user wrote:
LOVE this! Harry waiting for just the right moment to answer, “yes.” Its such a sweet, simple teaching moment. I love it!
Life as a new duchess may be intimidating, but it seems Markle has a loving husband willing to guide her every step of the way.
