Amid allegations against Hollywood mogul Ryan Seacrest of sexual misconduct, rumors were swirling as to how stars would respond to him on Sunday's 90th Academy Awards red carpet.

Many speculated that the 43-year-old E! News host would get the cold shoulder from stars looking to avoid any sort of social media backlash.

And apparently, that's exactly what happened when he took his spot on the legendary red carpet.

According to one attendee, Seacrest was given a prime spot to interview celebrities arriving to the big event.

And the E! News star wasn't completely left hanging. He did manage to get interviews with celebrities like Oscar nominee Allison Janney.

But most of the bigger names allegedly opted to speak with E! News' Giuliana Rancic, who seemed to get more airtime than her controversial co-host, according to some viewers on Twitter.

Many news outlets initially reported that Seacrest had been put on a 30-second delay just in case any problems arose, but the network has since denied the rumor, TheWrap reports.

A spokesperson for E! referred to the broadcast as "business as usual.”

And sure enough, Seacrest did have at least one awkward moment on the red carpet during his interview with “Hidden Figures” star Taraji P. Henson.

The actress ignited a social media firestorm when she appeared to subtly call out Seacrest to his face. She told the E! News host:

“You know what, the universe has a way of taking care of the good people. You know what I mean?”

Seacrest managed to keep his cool and quickly moved on from the moment, but Hensen wasn't finished slamming him yet.

She allegedly told the interviewer after Seacrest, “I'm great now that I'm in your company.”
