A 23-year-old mom of two mysteriously disappeared from her Wake, Virginia home on the morning of February 27, Dearly previously reported.

Her children's grandparents went to the home to check on her after they were alerted that she hadn't reported to work on time, according to Fox 5.

The Middlesex County Sheriff's Office revealed that they believed TerriLynn St. John put up a struggle before she went missing— her front door was left open with her two children alone in the home. A broken necklace was found in the yard and her phone was laying in the bushes.

According to WTVR, persons of interest were questioned yesterday regarding the mom's disappearance.

Sadly, the search for St. John came to an end early Thursday morning when the 23-year-old's body was found. As FOX 5 reports, the body was found in a “small wooded area” near the home from which she was taken.

A 23-year-old male, Alvin B. Keyser, was taken into custody in connection with St. John’s death.

Keyser reportedly knew both St. John and the father of her children. He allegedly led the authorities to St. John's body and is said to be cooperating with the police during the investigation.

He has since been charged with her murder.

Middlesex Sheriff's Major Michael Sampson told WTVR:

“The closure on this is not good closure, but it is closure.”

Luckily, St. John's children were not harmed the morning their mom died.

It has yet to be revealed exactly how the young mom died.
