Television mogul Oprah Winfrey's rousing acceptance speech about sexual harassment at the Golden Globes was a massive hit with celebs in the audience, and quickly ignited a firestorm of fans asking her to run for president in 2020.
Many in Hollywood threw their support behind the 63-year-old host and activist, but others were quick to point out why a presidential run might be problematic.
Singer Seal very publicly criticized Winfrey on his Instagram page, where he implied that the television star knew about Harvey Weinstein's alleged, sexual predator behavior, according to earlier reports.
Seal posted an image of Winfrey hugging the disgraced Hollywood mogul along with some harsh words.
But it now seems that Winfrey has at least one outspoken celebrity on her side.
According to People, model Chrissy Teigen spoke out in her defense in the controversial post's comment section.
And she didn't hold back when it came to taking digs at the 54-year-old singer. Teigen wrote:
“Hmm. Let’s just say we’ve all heard things about each other, haven’t we?”
The model's cryptic comment quickly sparked controversy on social media. Many fans wondered if the 32-year-old was threatening to “spill” some Hollywood gossip about the singer.
But a large number of Facebook users were quick to bombard the model for getting involved in the drama at all. Some wrote:
I hate when people bully other people's opinions. I like her but Seal has the right to bad mouth Oprah if he feels that way...
Why doesn't she keep her opinions to her self. No one cares what she thinks or likes.
Chrissy is beyond annoying! Not everyone loves Oprah and they have their right to voice their opinion!
It's his opinion so leave it alone. You voice yours so why can't Seal voice his. Move on Chrissy.
However, as Dearly's previously reported, Teigen is no stranger to controversy and doesn't seem to let internet hate keep her from speaking out.
Only time will tell if she'll actually share with fans what she's “heard” about Seal.
