Just 10 days ago, Naya Rivera was arrested and charged with domestic battery of her husband, Ryan Dorsey. Now, she is refiling for divorce.
The couple was in West Virginia visiting Dorsey's family for Thanksgiving. Rivera was taking a walk with her husband and son, 2-year-old Josey, when she hit him in the face after an altercation. According to TMZ, Dorsey called 911, saying that his wife was intoxicated and “getting physical.”
Rivera was arrested and was later released on a $1,000 bond. She was picked up from the courthouse by her father-in-law.
A week ago, Dorsey asked that everyone, especially the media, give his family privacy.
According to The Blast, Rivera previously filed for divorce last November, but this past October, she withdrew it and chose to remain with Dorsey.
She told People:
“It is what it is, but I'm glad that my family is together.”
TMZ reports that in the court documents, Rivera cited irreconcilable differences and asked for joint custody of Josey.
She requested that the court block both of them from receiving spousal support. Although Rivera was arrested on November 25, she listed the separation date on the court documents as November 24.
Additionally, TMZ reported that Rivera has called the police three times on Dorsey over the course of their three-year marriage.
