Paw Law, 57, was delivered a bombshell. Her 17-year-old daughter, Madaya Be, was pregnant, engaged, and moving to Wisconsin.

The teen was living at home with her mother and siblings in DeKalb County, Georgia, when she told her mother the news that she was engaged to 17-year-old Nyatole Eh and expecting his child.

According to WSB-TV, the family argued over the teenagers' situation when Law left the house and bought a gun from a local pawn shop. The following morning, while the couple was preparing breakfast in the home, Law allegedly walked up behind Eh and fired multiple shots.

According to Clarkston Police Detective Jason Elliot, no words were exchanged before Law allegedly shot her daughter's boyfriend:

“There was no type of argument or even altercation. It's looking like mom just walked up behind the victim and shot him.”

Elliot told reporters Law was “adamant” about not letting her daughter leave:

“It appears that mom had been planning this and was that adamant she did not want her daughter leaving with him.”

According to a police report, Be and her sister struggled to get the gun away from their mother before they were able to call 911, WYFF reports. Law was reportedly trying to turn the gun on herself.

Eh, shot multiple times in the abdomen, died from his injuries.

Be said she “never thought” anything like this would happen:

“It was surprising I never thought something like this was going to happen. He's a very good, innocent guy.”

Law is currently in custody at the DeKalb County Jail.
